MARIVELES, Bataan-To further ensure the safety of the public amid outbreak of coronavirus, the municipality headed by Mayor Jocelyn P. Castańeda set up four Disinfection booths here, the first in Bataan if not in the region.
Mayor Castańeda herself personally tried and demonstrated today how to use the said booth set up inside the Mariveles public marker in barangay San Carlos.
She said that a total of four Disinfection booths have been installed initially for the town-One in Mariveles Mental Wellness Hospital, another on barangay Batangas Dos, one inside the Mariveles public market and one more in Barangay Balon Anito.
In her demonstration, Mayor Castañeda pointed out that every market goer will pass through the Disinfection booth before going inside the market.
“This booth is safe since the chemical that will be used is organic and not hazardous,” stressed the lady mayor.
The Disinfection booth is covered only by a transparent plastic where the user can use his and her elbow to enter and exit from the booth.
“Siko lang po ang gamitin natin na pagbukas sa booth, di na uso ang kamay o daliri na gagamitin ngayon,” pointed out Castañeda.
Mayor Castañeda asked the public’s understanding “ as we are in times of crisis,” adding “this is for the protection of all of us.”
