FUNCTIONS OF THE OFFICE

Strategic ICT Planning and Leadership

Develop strategic plans and provide leadership to align technology initiatives with organizational goals and civic needs.

Technology Evaluation and Adoption

Evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in public service delivery.

Cybersecurity and Risk Management

Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to safeguard data and infrastructure from threats.

ICT Project Management

Lead ICT projects from conception to implementation, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time and budget. 

IT Infrastructure Maintenance

Oversee maintenance of IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.  

System Analysis and Development

Conduct analysis of existing systems and develop new solutions to meet evolving organizational needs.

Network Management

Manage network architecture and configurations to ensure seamless connectivity and robust cybersecurity. 

User Support and Training

Provide comprehensive technical support to users, including help desk assistance, desk support, multimedia and audio-visual  assistance, and user training sessions.

Multimedia and Audio-Visual support

Provide assistance with multimedia and audio-visual equipment to enhance communication and presentation capabilities. 

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Foster innovation and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency and functionality. 

Disaster Recovery Planning

Develop and implement plans to recover IT systems and data in the event of a disaster  or disruption.

Data Governance

Implement and enforce data governance policies to maintain data integrity and privacy.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing IT operations and data management.

Data Analytics

Analyze data to derive actionable insights that inform decision-making and improve service delivery.

Documentation and Training

Maintain documentation of IT processes and procedures and provide training to staff too ensure proficiency and compliance.
