BATAAN CAPITOL- To avoid the spread of coronavirus disease, Gov Abet S Garcia revealed yesterday that Bataan General Hospital (BGH) will become testing laboratory for Covid-19 patients in the province.
In his statement during the celebration of “Araw ng Kagitingan” aired over his FB account, Gov Garcia said that they are now fast -tracking the accreditation of BGH to become ‘test lab’ for those who are on quarantine.
He said this will prevent the spread of the virus and those affected will be given immediate attention and cure.
Gov Garcia said that Bataan will also purchase 2,000 rapid test kits, 8,000 confirmatory test kits and the much-needed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the use of health workers such as doctors, nurses and others on the front lines.
In hailing the laudable services of the health workers, Garcia said that they have set up facilities where the health workers can stay and sleep for free near their hospitals where they are working.
The governor lauded health workers and dubbed them as ‘modern day living heroes’ for their sacrifices in serving the community.
